Day 5

A picture of somewhere you've been to.

Can you guess?

For my senior year I went on a Baja Cruise to Catalina, Ensenada and San Diego with my best friends Trevor and Josh. It was so fun and is still the most interesting place I've been so far. Hopefully Anthony and I will be able to travel the world a little more and a little more broadly before we have kids.

Day 4

A habit I wish I didn't have...

There are so many, but I'll only share a few as not to embarass myself.

This is the one I wish I didn't have the most:

Haha! For some reason I always wait til the last minute to do something, whether it's homework, chores, getting ready for work, anything. Anthony says its because I like to "live on the edge."

No I don't have a habit of picking my nose, but I pick everything else. Every little bump on my body I find and pick it til it bleeds or becomes worse than before, and I do it to Anthony too. I'm trying to do better and control myself so by the time we have kids I wont do it to them!

I have a really bad short term memory and I am always losing things. Especially when it comes to my phone or my keys, sometimes we tear up the whole apartment to find my phone and it will end up being at the very botttom of my giant purse or I will take the remote to the other room and forget I took it with me. Seriously, I would lose my head if it wasn't attached.

Well, that is all for now! Hope I made you smile a little at my serious bad habits!

See you tomorrow on Day 5!

Day 3

Picture of my friends and I:
I will go into some indepth detail about them to make this a little more interesting.

Corey & Myra Rowe: She seriously is like the older sister I never had. She and her hubby moved to Florida before we got married, but she flew out just for me :]
Shayla: My longest oldest best friend
Aimee: My best friend, we are so similar. She has helped me a lot through these last months, helping me figure stuff out be supportive.
Tyson: Actually he is Shayla's little brother, but he is so funny. We share a love of Harry Potter.

 My Family:
Garrett: We are so different. We faught a lot when we were little, but now we have a better understanding.
Matthew: He's eight years younger than me so I grew up taking care of him so we have a pretty close relationship.
My Mom: (Yes I know we look alike). I loved being the only girl and going shopping with her (still do).
My Dad: I am pretty sure I get my personality from him (sarcastic and stubborn).

Anthony's Family: There are so many of them! I went from having an extremely small family to a very very large one. Seriously we have like four family reunions a year just so we can see everybody. My favorite is the German Reunion. I love them, and wish we had more time to spend with them. Especially little Enoch, our nephew.

And of course my hubby! We have known each other for a very long time, and we have always had a close relationship. He knows I'm crazy and loves me just the same. No one truly understands me and accepts me like he does, and I am so lucky to have him!

Well now you know a little more about me!

See you tomorrow on Day 4!

Welcome to Day 2

What is the meaning behind the name of your blog?

Anthony and Christene

It's pretty obvious isn't it? I thought a long time about what I wanted to name my blog and I really tried to think of something catchy and creative. I decided that this simply was just a blog (journal) about Anthony and I even though I am the only one that writes, and it was something that would apply for a long time. So, I would still be able to use this blog when we have kids or whatever.

Wow. I hope I didn't bore the heck out of everyone who read this post. If anyone read it at all. Ha.

Anyways to livin' this post up a bit, I thought I'd share some pics of Anthony and I that you may not have seen before (on Facebook).

I miss me some dark brown hair! I think I look better with darker hair, but for now I can't afford the every six week treatment, so we will stay blond(ish).

I love me some Harry Potter, and I get Anthony to go with me to the midnight showings. He says he's not that into it, but he wore that shirt without any arguement. :] I feel like I have pooch ony my stomach. Ick.

Sidenote: My hairstylist convinced me to get a perm. Ugh. I have semi-curly hair so it wasn't too different, just a lot harder to do my hair straight. Also my hair is an ugly bronze color because I was transitioning from being a brunette to be a blonde for my hubby.

This pciture was taken Christmas Day 2009.
I finally had the length and color I wanted for our wedding and it was actually healthy!

Hope you enjoyed, even though it was sort of a transgression of my hair! Ha. Hopefully Day 3 of this thing will be more interesting otherwise I may bore myself out of it!

See Ya Tomorrow!

30 Day Challenge

There are lots of these things going around and I thought that I would do it. I hardly post because I don't have much to post about it seems so this might make it easier. There is something to post about every day and you can find the rules over at this blog, Kevin & Gillian. Mostly I don't want to write out all the rules for you.

Here it goes.

Day #1
A recent picture of yourself plus fifteen interesting facts about yourself...

This is me enjoying a delicious apple pie caramel apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Anthony and I go there sometimes after dinner for dessert and buy two. One for now and one for later. They're sooo yummy.

1. I can shape my tounge to make a three-leaf clover
2. I have a very long name, Christene LaChell Edenfield. Even without my middle name, its quite long and it takes me forever to sign it. I should work on that. Oh... and I also have six E's in my name. Thats weird.
3.My favorite shows are: Parenthood, Modern Family, Glee, Grey's Anatomy and Project Runway.
4.I wore braces for pretty much all of my childhood... second grade to my sophmore year...not only did I have braces, I had headgear, chingear (yes there is such a thing), spurs, every kind of retainer and alot more.
5. I really loathe the snow. I had an "accident" two years ago and ever since then it freaks me out to drive in it.
6. I get annoyed pretty easily. It's something I'm trying to work on.
7. I am a way picky eater. I like a lot of things, but I am more concerned with the quality of the product. I only trust my parents, my best friend Aimee, grandparents and my husbands cooking. Other than that I analyze every part of the food.
8. I really want a dark blue Toyota Tacoma. I'm thinking graduation present. :]
9. I have had pretty much every color of hair, to brown, purple, blue, black, blonde. The only reason I am blonde now is because Anthony requested it for our wedding.
10. I always have to have painted fingernails.
11. I don't put lids on things after I open them. Drives the husband crazy.
12. I can't sleep unless I have a blanket tucked over my shoulder.
13. I sleep with my mouth open and often times wake up to dried drool over my face. :]
14. I'm a picker, I pick pick pick until I (or Anthony) bleed.
15. It really bugs me when people don't use correct punctuation or grammar in texts. (I'm an English Major).

An Adventure with Aimee & Clarice

So something you should all know and understand. I have a nickname and because of that nickname I met Aimee my best friend. She gave me the nickname and it stuck. Well I guess its only stuck between her and I and a few others, but even her little kids thought that my real name was Clarice up until recently. It all started three years ago when Aimee first started working at the JC and there was another fellow employee who's REAL name is Clarice. It was announced on the overhead late one night and somehow it became histerical. We started quoting lines from the movie Hannibal. (Please don't ever watch that movie, I had nightmares for weeks.) We started saying "Hello Clarice" in our creepiest Hannibal voice and we would crack up laughing and Aimee would always say that I sounded just like him, (Which is also really creepy) and that is how my nickname stuck.

Aimee and I have been good friends ever since then. We are so much alike it's crazy. Sorta feed off each other and we get each other's jokes. We are crazy, but the good kind of crazy.

We recently went on an adventure to the B.o.B, Jason Derulo, Iyaz, and Auburn concert. Anywhere we go is an adventure, and this did not let us down. We had fun dancing to the music even though it was so loud we couldn't hear our screams, and we both lost our voices the next day and Aimee still hasn't got hers back yet.

This is us before the concert started.

We had pretty good seats off to the side. We could actually see their faces! B.o.B. really was the best, Magic is one of my favorite songs!

Until Next Time,

Christene

The Greatest Show on Earth

Awhile ago Anthony and I got the chance to go to the circus, his work was able to get tickets at a discount price and we thought it would be fun to go. I had been to the Ringling Bros. circus before but had only seen a little because we were late. So I was super excited this time and so was Anthony.

I am so proud that I actually got a picture of Anthony and I together. I always forget my camera and even if I remember it I forget that I have it so we have no pictures together after our honeymoon.

They did everything you could ever imagine a circus would do, but apparently I only cared enough about the elephants because that is all I have pictures of I find them fascinating. Well maybe not the elephants themselves, but what their trainers can get them to do.
I have something of a sweet tooth and that is sorta why I like stuff like circus's, fairs, and carnivals. The main reason of coarse is the cotton candy. Holy smokes I love the stuff, and Anthony always lets me buy an extra bag so that I can have some at home too. So we went and got in line for our cotton candy, ready to buy two bags only to find out that ONE bag costs $10! That is way too much money, even for me. So Anthony bought me one bag, but on the plus side it comes with this awesome foam cowboy hat Anthony is wearing in the picture above. I felt silly paying that much for cotton candy, but Anthony insisted I get it and made me feel better by saying the hat was $5 so that means the cotton candy was only $5 really instead of ten. We had lots of fun and spent way too much money, but its ok when it only happens every once in awhile. Plus I actually have pictures and a blog post to document the memory! Ha. Maybe I am getting better.

I better get off now before Anthony gets home before he realizes that I played on the internet rather than folded laundry! Whoops.

Until Next Time, (There will be a next time)

Christene

I'm Back!

Whoa! I haven't posted in forever, but that's ok because I don't have many followers or readers for that matter but it's ok. Really. But I hope we can be friends again and you will all read my blog even if you think I'm weird or crazy or whatever. Maybe I'll entertain you with my craziness. My husband thinks I'm funny.

Moving on. . .

My husband is a hunter. You should know this if you read my sidebar. If you know anything about hunting you would know that October is a big month for all of us rednecks, which means Anthony is gone. Pooey. He is gone for the rest of the weekend and then almost all of the following week. He is going with my brothers and Dad. I used to look forward to the hunting season because it meant that my mom and I got to go shopping, but now I dread it. Anthony has worked graveyards before, but only for one night at a time and he was home by 5 in the morning. So, this is the first time we have been away for more than 24 hours. How ridiculous are we? Seriously I am such a baby and I have been crying this whole week. I have to work this whole week anyways so I shouldn't be too lonely. I have plenty of things to keep my busy: I have about twenty hair bows to make, the house definitely could use some cleaning and I have a sleepover planned with my best friend Aimee and her little girls so don't feel bad.

Something else that I have been thinking about. Money. Ugh. I hate that word. It is one of those constant stressors and I have never been very good at it. Budgeting, saving, spending. Really I'm not good at any of those, well I supposed I'm pretty good at spending, but you get what I mean. To pay for hunting Anthony donated plasma twice a week to save up money to buy a gun as well as ammo and other supplies needed. I am so proud of him for saving and sticking to it. Anthony told me last night that after the hunting he would start donating plasma to help save for this awesome beach cruiser bike:
Isn't she a beauty? I love bright blue and green together, especially with the peacock detail on the fenders. I'm so excited. The original plan was for this to be my Christmas present, but Anthony brought up the point that if I got it for Christmas it would be the only present I would get and I wouldn't even be able to ride it for another three months. So, I can get it as soon as we SAVE enough money!

Right now I am extremely grateful for the fact that Anthony and I have good steady and pretty well paying jobs and I know that we are better off than most and I feel so blessed.

Sorry for the long post!

Oh, and P.S. don't you love my new blog look and especially the header? It was made by Gillian. She is awesome and so is her blog.

Until Next Time,

Christene
